Public School Art Teachers
Providing artistic materials, volunteers & guest experts for PreK-12th grade art classes.
You are the expert. Tell us how we can help you create meaningful artistic experiences for your students.
As former MNPS art teachers, we know educators are required to wear many hats. While there are many local organizations offering amazing opportunities and resources, the time it takes to apply is overwhelming with the daily demands of a teaching schedule.
The Little Art House Foundation simplifies the application process and provides turnkey individualized solutions.
After consulting with many MNPS art teachers and hosting a round table to discuss the needs of art teachers, we’ve developed an easy process to give you access to the resources you want.
We create customized solutions for each application we receive. Our offerings can include any combination of materials, volunteers and/or guest experts to support you and your classroom. Of course, we are always learning and open to new ways to support public school art teachers.
Materials.
We offer customized boxes of art supplies ranging from oil pastels, paints, papers, ink, charcoal, graphite, printmaking supplies, and more. This option is perfect to fill in the gap with resources you are low on or expose your students to completely new mediums.
Boxes of materials can be customized for your class or you can choose from our pre-prepared “on-the-go” options based on grade level, interests, abilities, and class size.
Materials are available upon request.
Volunteers.
We have learned that often teachers need an extra set of hands. We have a list of volunteers who can step in as needed. Our volunteers are especially useful when it comes to organizing materials, managing inventory, and hanging student art shows. Our team can also help you facilitate lesson plans that require additional adults to support your students.
Volunteers are available upon request.
Guest Experts.
Our guest experts are a great opportunity for AP/IB teachers to bring a local artist or educator to facilitate a student critique or advise on student portfolios. We also work with local artists if you would like a guest teacher to facilitate a lesson on a new medium for your students.
Guest experts are available upon request.
“I am thrilled to be working with Little Art House Foundation to provide support for art educators locally. The services we are offering are tailored to meet the needs of art teachers specifically, and are exactly what I needed during my time in the classroom! LAH loves teachers, and we can’t wait to show y’all just how true that is! We’re thankful to be able to give back to our well-deserving public educators.”

How it works
Step 1: Apply Online
Complete our application in less than 5 minutes. Tell us a little about what you need and when you need it. Our application helps us determine your needs including, what materials, how many volunteers, and whether or not you wish to bring in a guest expert for your advanced students.
Step 2: Schedule a Meeting
After you submit your application, we will send you a link to schedule a 30-minute call to confirm your application and discuss the next steps. During this call, we will confirm availability, deliverables, and timing. Once confirmed, teachers will work with our foundation coordinator to facilitate logistics.
